Addressing delegates at the party’s headquarters after filing his nomination, Mr Boadu outlined his vision for the NPP, including what he described as a massive rebranding of the party.
“As for my experience, everybody in this party attests to the fact that there’s nobody who is prepared and ready and effective to run this party as the National Chairman. If you vote for John Boadu, there’s going to be massive rebranding of our party,” he said.
He also promised to strengthen what he described as the party’s internal security ahead of future elections.
“If you vote for John Boadu, the era where the NDC will be snatching ballot boxes, harassing NPP people, destroying polling centres is over,” he said. “I’m going to make sure as we did in 2016 and 2020, strengthen the internal security of the party,” he added.
Mr Boadu also criticised the NDC government over its campaign promises, particularly the 24-Hour Economy and the fight against illegal mining
